A Garden Fifteen Years in the Making
Bexx Secret Garden is a private, lush garden hidden behind a 1920s English cottage in the NoHo Arts District — and every plant in it, I planted myself. For fifteen years, this has been where I bring people together: intimate weddings, celebrations, and gatherings where every detail — the menu, the cake, the florals, the design — comes from one hand, mine.
There's no juggling vendors here. No miscommunication between five different people. Just me, my team, and a garden built to feel like a secret you were lucky enough to find.
The Space
Two covered patios accommodate up to 40 seated guests, with a bar and lounge area seating 12 to 14 more, plus bar seating for 8. All told, we host up to 66 guests for seated meals, or 80 for a more relaxed cocktail-style celebration.
Everything, In-House
My team and I create everything from scratch — custom cakes and sweets, creative menus, and floral design pulled from our own garden whenever possible. Tablecloths, plating, tea service, cutlery, and serve wares are all included, along with wicker bistro seating, comfortable lounge seating, and bar seating throughout the garden.
Comfort, Every Season
A misting system and fans keep things comfortable in the summer. Patio heaters are available to rent for cozy winter evenings on the covered patio and bar area.
Getting Here
Conveniently located off the 101, 134, and 170 freeways — close to Universal City, Disney Studios, Warner Bros., NBC, and CBS.
Event hours: 10am – 11pm.
How We Started
The garden house was built in 1927, designed with a Disneyesque flair — a popular style at the time.
Terry and I have lived on the property since 1999, building the garden together over the years — I planted nearly every plant with my own hands, while Terry designed and oversaw construction of the garden's covered structures and gazebos. After years of hosting dinner parties for friends, I started an underground supper club so people could come enjoy my food and see me perform — creating a themed menu, then performing live for the friends and fans gathered at each dinner. Guests soon began urging me to open the garden to the public, and I did, while keeping the private sanctuary intact.
Fifteen years later, Bexx Secret Garden holds a consistent 5-star rating on Yelp.
The Story
Cooking, cake creation, gardening, entertaining, event design, and dreaming up themes — that's my story. The garden was originally dubbed "The Cantina" by friends who loved hanging out here and enjoying Terry's and my hospitality, the beautiful setting, and my scrumptious cooking.
During the 2000s, Terry and I were performing music throughout Los Angeles. Around that time, I heard about a new trend taking off across the US and the world: people hosting pop-up restaurants in their own homes, creating special menus for friends — the Underground Supper Club movement. With friends and fans always asking where we'd perform next, I started my own supper club, Bexx Secret Garden Supper Club.
It became "The Secret Garden" because people were always surprised the moment they stepped through the gate — and to this day, guests are still amazed by the garden waiting for them inside.
The concept was simple: a special theme, a special menu, and a performance for my guests. Before long, guests began suggesting I open the garden to the public.
That was 15 years and hundreds of events ago.

The Host & Chef
Fans who came to hear me sing dubbed me "the Diva," and the name followed me straight into the kitchen — friends still tease that I "diva it up" over a menu. I've also been called the ultimate entertainer, and with a little Energizer Bunny energy thrown in, that's pretty much me: always creating, always entertaining, rarely sitting still.
Creating is in my DNA — creative cuisine, event planning, décor design, and gardening all come naturally. I come from a long line of avid gardeners: my father, still gardening in his 90s, plants and harvests a large garden every year, canning and preserving everything from it. My grandparents on my mother's side always kept a garden too, and my father owned several restaurants where I worked as a child and young adult.
My mother was a schoolteacher who entertained family and friends several nights a week, so ease in the kitchen and throwing together a party has always come naturally. Holidays and celebrations were always centered around food, and I've always been at ease creating in the kitchen and out of it — making sure everyone feels welcome. I bring all that warmth and talent to every event I create, for clients and friends alike.
The Music
Bexx is a lyricist and professional singer. She was accepted to study with Judy Davis, Barbra Streisand's longtime vocal coach among other notable singers. Bexx has fronted many bands, including in Las Vegas, and has performed throughout the US and Canada over the years.

The Producer
Terry has always been a renaissance man, having been into computers, cinematography and Photography as an early adopter. Terry also designed and created the Garden website, with Bexx as the chief writer and website partner.
Terry and Bexx also own Univaya Inc. the mother company of BSG In the garden, he is in charge of all of the audio and video setup and production as well as the design and engineering of the space and all other technical aspects that go into creating an event.
