welcome to my secret garden

"Where celebrations bloom, recipes are shared, and every gathering has a story."

Hidden behind the gates of the NoHo Arts District is a place I've spent years creating by hand—a quiet garden oasis in the middle of Los Angeles where people come together to celebrate love, family, friendship, and life's most meaningful moments.

Welcome to my Secret Garden.

hi i'm bexx

I've always believed that food tastes better when it's shared, celebrations are more meaningful when they're personal, and beautiful spaces have a way of bringing people together.

Long before Bexx Secret Garden existed, I was creating themed birthday parties for my children, testing recipes late into the night, decorating cakes, setting beautiful tables, and looking for reasons to gather family and friends. Before that, I spent years as a professional singer, entertaining audiences on stage.

Looking back, I realize I've always been in the business of creating experiences.

Today, that passion has simply grown into something bigger.

The Garden

Bexx Secret Garden is the home of my creative work.

It's a boutique private garden venue where my team and I create intimate weddings and celebrations for 20 to 80 guests. Everything is designed around our clients—from the planning and event design to the catering, custom menus, cakes, desserts, florals, and styling.

We believe celebrations shouldn't feel like they're assembled from a list of vendors. They should feel seamless, personal, and completely your own.

That's why we create nearly everything in-house and why I work personally with every client from our first conversation until the last guest heads home.

More Than a Venue

The garden isn't just where I work.

It's something I've built, planted, and continue to nurture every day.

Every rose, dahlia, flowering vine, and garden path has been part of a vision I've been bringing to life for years. I even grow herbs and seasonal vegetables that often inspire the menus we serve.

It's a place that continues to grow alongside me.

Beyond the Garden Gate

While the garden is where the celebrations happen, this is where I share everything that grows from them.

After creating hundreds of weddings, milestone celebrations, and special events over the past fifteen years, I've learned that the most memorable gatherings aren't just about beautiful flowers or delicious food—they're about creating moments that bring people together and leave lasting memories.

Here, I'll take you behind the scenes of life at Bexx Secret Garden and share the ideas, inspiration, and experience I've gathered along the way.

You'll find seasonal recipes inspired by the menus I create for my clients, entertaining ideas, tablescapes, floral inspiration, gardening, behind-the-scenes stories from the garden, and practical advice for planning weddings and celebrations with confidence.

I'll also share the side of event planning that people don't often talk about—the real costs of hosting an event, budgeting wisely, choosing where to invest, avoiding common mistakes, and the little details that can make all the difference. My hope is to help you create celebrations that feel beautiful, personal, and truly unforgettable.

Whether you're planning an intimate wedding, hosting a dinner party, celebrating a milestone, or simply looking for inspiration, I hope you'll discover ideas that spark your creativity and make gathering with the people you love even more meaningful.

What are Micro & Intimate Wedding and how much do they cost in Los Angeles?

In Bexx Secret Garden a Micro wedding is between 10 & 20 guests & an Intimate between 50 to 66 guests.

What does a Micro or Intimate Wedding Cost?

This can be a tricky question. First, you can't assume that an intimate or micro wedding will be cheap. Your costs really depend on what is important to you and where you would like to invest your money. However, there are basic costs associated with every wedding .

  • Wedding Venue
  • Event Planner/Coordinator
  • Staffing
  • Flowers & Decor
  • Custom Cake and or Desserts
  • Food & Beverages
  • Tablespaces Plating & Tabletop Decor
  • Signage & Printing

I am going to break all of the basic costs down for you.

The Venue & Reception

The line items below can really vary - depending on the vibe and feel you want for your wedding along with your budget. Below are some average costs to rent a venue for your wedding & reception.

Micro Wedding for 20 or so guests.

$3,00 - $8,000.

In Intimate wedding 30 to 66 guests.

This also can really vary depending on the type of menu & service you'd like for your reception. Below are average costs for catering and beverage/bar services.

Food

 20 Guests  -           50 Guests

$1,700. - $ $3,000.      $5,600. - $9,900.

Custom Cake & Dessert

20 Guests                   66 Guests

$250. - $600.                 $450. - 900.

event planner - coordinator - designer

This is one I don't think any bride & groom should try to handle themselves. I dealt with, have read about, & have heard so many horror stories about couples or a bride who tried to handle all of the logistic prior to & the day of.

Though I must admit, I did everything I said I didn't want to do and wouldn't do for my wedding. I had it here in the Secret Garden, I catered it made the cake, planned, designed, & did all the flowers. I did have some very talented friends help though!

A day of planner & coordinator will run from $1,500. - $3,500.

Full - Service Event planning service will run you closer to $10,000. - $10,00.

florals

Here again, these costs can vary especially for flowers. Flowers & floral instillations can be one of biggest costs for a wedding. Though younger brides are opting for more environmentally friendly options that may be more cost effective (we'll explore this in another blog).

Flowers

20 Guests                  66 Guests

1,500. - $5,00.          2,00. - $5,000. & Up

tabletop & design decor

Tablespaces - Tablecloths - Plating

This is where you can show your style and individuality with your tablespaces, plating, glassware, & cutlery can reflect the vibe you envision for your wedding reception. You can create something simple but elegant or out of the box, whatever your fancy and your budget.

20 Guests                                            66 Guests

$500. - $1,500                               $1,500 - $4,500.

signage - printing

These are items I even forget about & end of creating for free for my clients!

Signage and menus can really elevate your wedding or event.

20 Guests                                     50 Guests

$200. - $600.                               $200. - $800.

staffing

This is a big one  and can very depending on type of service - buffet - plated - food stations. You have to account for not only front of house but kitchen staff and chefs. If you have food stations which are fun and interactive for your guests - this adds more staffing costs because you have to have one or two people servicing each station.

Another variable is if your caterer or goes through a staffing agency.

Don' t forget gratuity usually %18 - %20.

Below is a base line for staffing only

20 Guests                  50 Guests

Servers

 $300. - 600.           $750. - $1,500.

Bartender

 $350. - $750            $350 - 750.0

Kitchen Staff

$250. - $600.            $775.00 - $900.

The Budget Is a Guide

The Wedding Is Yours

At the end of the day, this list isn't really about hitting a number — it's about deciding where your money works best. Some couples put everything into the venue and let it carry the day. Others keep things simple on decor and pour their budget into food guests will still talk about a year later. What matters most to me is working with my couples to blend their wishes into one cohesive wedding — a custom menu and an atmosphere that's truly theirs, the kind of day they and their guests remember for years to come. If you're planning something small in LA, come see the garden — I'll walk you through exactly where your budget goes furthest for your day.
